Utopia

Welcome to the future of America. Through hard work, perseverance, and reform society has greatly improved. Although it may not be perfect yet, Orwell's, Bradbury's, and Orwell's fears are quickly diminishing into the halls of fiction.

What brought us here?

Education Reform

Education Reform

A national reform of the educational system is the first priority for the future of America. Programs that have proven ineffective, such as the Common CORE system and PARCC standardized testing, must be removed and replaced with systems that work. In addition, more resources should be allocated for teachers in poorer communities to ensure that every student is given the same opportunity to succeed. By improving education, the country is equipping the future generation with the tools to succeed and to make informed decisions that will benefit society.

Listening to the People

When a small group chooses what is acceptable, and especially what isn’t, it enforces an unrealistic standard that doesn’t apply to all citizens. In order to prevent this, the government needs to make voting easier by removing voter IDs, introducing voting online and by mail in more states, and making ballot locations easier to access.

Redistrubting the Welath

Take Action!

The wealth problem can be solved by developing careers that pay more substantial salaries, punishing companies and CEOs for breaking the law, and reforming the current medical system so that it is affordable and universal for all Americans.

Before anything can change, people need to come together and take action. It is only with demonstrations, rallies, and protests that legislation like the Civil Rights Act and the right to gay marriage was passed. People need to learn that their voices do matter and that if they fight for what they believe in, and what the founding fathers believed in, America can stay a proud nation. Unfortunately, Orwell’s protagonist Winston didn’t succeed because he was a minority of one. Doctorow’s X-Net Rebellion, however, shows that together a population can change where a country is headed.
